  • Has done his Residency in  Psychiatry at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Yale University Medical School

  • Was Instructor at the Department of Psychiatry, Yale University

  • Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Vermont and

  • Clinical Assistant  Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Massachusetts

  • He was Medical Director at the Department of Psychiatry, Penobscot Bay Medical Center, Rockport, Maine,

  • Medical Director for the Inpatient Services at the Department of Psychiatry, Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine, and

  • Attending Psychiatrist, UMass Memorial Medical Group, MA,

  • Has worked as a Psychiatrist in New Zealand, Australia and Germany.

Pedro

Rose Sandoval PMHNP

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • She was born in Lima, Peru and immigrated with her family to the United States when she was about 4 years old.

  • She has over 14 years working as a Nurse Practitioner. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked in the emergency department, including the Psychiatric Emergency Department, serving the underserved population.

  • She has been fortunate to also manage patients in a variety of settings, including primary care, correctional, and in long-term care facilities.

  • Since 2017, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she has primarily worked in the outpatient practice setting, managing clients of all ages, socioeconomic backgrounds who dealt with a variety of mental health issues.

  • She truly enjoys helping others learn to see the best in themselves so that they may lead productive lives to the best of their ability.

  • She’d like her patients to know that the possibility for improving our mental health is always available. It takes patience, time and effective clinical management tailored to their specific needs.

  • She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing a variety of indoor or outdoor activities. 

  • She has a great appreciation of nature, literature and music.

  • She looks forward to going on hikes, reading, and attending concerts.

  • Her favorite types of exercise include walking, strength training and doing Pilates.
